German occupation and bombings, September 1939; abuse of the synagogue beadle and the Rabbi; mandatory call-up in the city square and refusal by her mother to go; theft of their valuables; joining the convoy of the evacuated; march to Lwow; meeting her father; deportation to Siberia, summer 1941; transfer to camp at point 105; residence in shack with other children without adult supervision; suicide; lack of hygiene and hunger; release from the camp and transfer to Uzbekistan; life in Uzbekistan without her parents while responsible for younger brother; transfer to parents in Tashkent; end of war, 1945. Return to Poland, 1946; attitude of the Poles; residence in Stettin; back to school to study the basics; aliya to Israel, 1950.
