Escape with his family to Bialystok after the outbreak of the war, 1939; transfer by the Soviets to Nizhniy Tagil, Soviet Union, 1940; life and work in Ural; move to Novozlatopol, Ukraine, 1941; separation from his family; drafted into the Red Army; work on fortifications and defense near the Dniester River; retreat to the area of the Don river, circa 1942; retreat in the direction of Rostov; escape from the Red Army to Gorkiy, 1943; work in a factory; injury. Return to Breslau, Poland at the end of the war, 1945; move to camps in Czechoslovakia, Austria ("Rothschild House") and Italy in the framework of Bericha; life in transit camps; illegal immigration attempt on the ship, "Lo Tafchidunu"; detention in Cyprus; life in the detention camp ("winter camp"), 1947; aliya to Israel, 1949.
