Testimony of Yakob Eizenbaum Erez, born in Brzesc Nad Bugiem, Poland, 1936, regarding his experiences in Komi and in the area surrounding Osh, Kirghizstan Escape from Brzesc Nad Bugiem to the Soviet Union with his parents, approximately 1940; life in a labor camp in the Komi region of Siberia, 1941; his father's work as a baker in the camp; transfer of the family to a kolkhoz near Osh, Kirghizstan, 1941; his parents' work harvesting cotton; relations with the Uzbek neighbors; drafting of his father into the Red Army; his father's return to Poland and joining Anders Army; move back to Poland with his mother, 1945. Reunion with his father and his uncle in Katowice; move to Germany via Bratislava, Czechoslovakia with help from Bericha, 1947; life in the Hof Am Mien DP camp and the Deggendorf DP camp in Germany, 1947-1949; aliya to Israel, 1949.
