Childhood.
Outbreak of the war and occupation by the Germans and the Ustasha, April 1941; escape of the family to Mostar, May 1941; life in Mostar until April 1942; deportation to the Island of Hvar by the Italian Army; deportation to an Italian concentration camp on the Island of Rab, June 1943; after the surrender of the Italian Army, crosses by fishing boat to the area under Tito's partisans' control; joins Tito's partisans, September 1943; protection extended to Jewish refugee families; residence with the local population in camps in Topusko, Kordun, Lika, Krajikia and Bosanska; combat against the Germans by the partisans; liberation by the partisans, 1945.
Return to Sarajevo; aliya to Eretz Israel.
