Testimony of Mordochee Krief, born in Tunis, Tunisia, 1916, regarding his experiences in Tunis and as a forced laborer in Bizerte
His parents' home; religious life; attends a Talmud Torah and an Alliance Israelite (Kiach) school; relations with the Muslim population and with the French community; short occupation of Tunis by the Germans,1942; arrest in Tunis with young Jews and deportation to forced labor in Bizerte; liberation by the US Army, 1943.
Return to Tunis; life after the war; emigration to France, 1976; aliya to Israel, 2008.
