German occupation, March 1944; escape to his parents' home in Seredne; deportation of his family to Uzhorod, April 1944; Hungarian police guard during the deportation; life in a brick factory; deportation to Auschwitz, October 1944; camp life; labor in the Canada Kommando; death march to Gleiwitz; transfer in open railroad cars to Buchenwald; transfer to Flossenbuerg; camp life; collective punishments; approach of the US Army; loading of the inmates on trains traveling back and forth; liberation by the US Army.
The witness' illness, and hospitalization with help from the JDC in Feldafing; receives parcels from the JDC; aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the ship, "Ben Hecht", 1947; detention on Cyprus; aliya to Israel, 1948.
