Her family was originally from Poland.
Outbreak of the war, 1939; escape of her family to southern France; life in Toulouse; transfer to Spain via the Pyrenees; return to Brussels; life under the German occupation; arrest; deportation of her parents to Malines, 1943; life being hidden by farmers on their farm; liberation of the area by the US Army, 1945.
Transfer under the auspices of the Red Cross and the JDC; medical treatment in Switzerland; life after the war.
