Italian occupation, 1939; German occupation, 1941; detention along with his mother; escape by ship with his father and brother to the border of Bulgaria; German occupation, and escape to Rodi; escape to Crete; German occupation; escape by ship to Athens, 1942; life in Athens; joins the partisans with a group of children; implementation of acts of sabotage against German tanks, along with the children; escape to an orphanage with his brother (the orphanage was established by emissaries from Eretz Israel, 1944).
Life until 1946; illegal aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the "Henrietta Szold" ship; detention in Cyprus, February 1946; aliya to Eretz Israel along with 500 Greek children, October 1946; move to Nahalal with the group of children.
