Outbreak of the war; air-raids on Przemysl; "Aktions" and murder of Jews; her family is hidden in a church during an "Aktion"; deportation of the Jews to the Soviet occupied area; refugees hide in empty homes; deportation to Tomsk with her family; camp life; outbreak of the war between Germany and the Soviet Union, June 1941; release [from the camp]; escape to Samarkand; life in Samarkand; death of her parents during a typhus epidemic; transfer to labor in a kolkhoz; draft of her sister into the Red Army; eating of turtles and birds; transfer to a Polish orphanage. Return to Poland; life in an orphanage in Gostynin; danger due to being Jewish; rescue by people from the Coordination organization; aliya to Eretz Israel with help from people from the Coordination organization; life on Kibbutz Gan Shmuel; finds her sister, and reunion with her sister in the 1990s.
