Loss of her parents (apparently at the start of the war); abandoned in her baby carriage on the street along with her brother; placed in a monastery by neighbors along with her brother; transfer to two different families in a village; life with constant feelings of strangeness; visits in a church; lack of contact with her brother; fear of German soldiers; finds a hiding place in a barrel at the sight of soldiers; liberation and a partisans parade in the village. Search [for her] by a family member; foster attempt by a Jewish family in Ruma; her brother is placed in a Jewish orphanage; aliya to Israel with her brother, with Youth Aliyah, 1949; life on Kibbutz Ruhama.
