Air-raids on Warsaw, September 1939; construction of the Warsaw Ghetto; ghetto life; daily searches for food; stealing food; joining children in the street; playing games together and singing; escape to outside the ghetto in order to buy food; fear of the dogs near the wall; separation of the children from their mothers at the Umschlagplatz (transfer point); escape to the countryside with his father; abandonment by his father; life alone, 1942; disguising himself as a Polish boy; work as a cow herder for the farmers; handed over to the Nowy Dwor Ghetto before the liquidation "Aktion"; escape to a forest; escape among the farms; liberation by the Red Army, 1945. Return to being Jewish by the Coordination organization; move to a children's home in Lodz; unsuccessful aliya attempt to Eretz Israel, detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947; life on Kibbutz Gan Shmuel, 1947.
