Anti-Jewish legislation, 1939; expulsion from high school; transfer to Budapest, 1943; German occupation, March 1944; confiscation of property; work in a factory; confiscation of the factory by the Germans; forced labor in the factory; turning the factory into a camp; receipt of the last letter from his mother; deportation of his mother and his family to Auschwitz; escape to the "Glass House"; smuggling protective passports and forged documents to Jews in the factory; deportation of the forced laborers to Mauthausen, 10 November 1944; finding a hiding place in an attic; escape from the factory; life in various hiding places; escape to an apartment used as a hiding place by the Hungarian underground; participation in activities against Hungarian Nazis; liberation by the Red Army, January 1945.
