Testimony of Mordechai Cynamon, born in Lodz, Poland, 1919, regarding his experiences in Koprzywnica, Skarzysko Kamienna and Czestochowa Religious family. Outbreak of the war, 1939; move to Warsaw with his family, late 1940; deportation to forced labor; wanderings until Koprzywnica, 1941; labor in a quarry and digging drainage ditches; detention and transfer to Skarzysko Kamienna; camp life; transfer to Czestochowa on Yom Kippur (September), 1944; escape from a group intended for transfer to Germany; camp life while using a false name; liberation by the Red Army, January 1945. Return to Lodz; departs with the Bericha organization, 1945; illegal aliya attempt to Eretz Israel, 1946; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, February 1947; participation in the War of Independence.
