German occupation, March 1944; ghetto life from May 1944; yellow badge; help from Hungarian neighbors in obtaining food; deportation to the Miskolc Ghetto; shearing of the beards of their rabbinical fathers and grandfather, May-June 1944; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, June 1944; transfer to Krakow; camp life including labor transferring rocks; transfer back to Auschwitz; transfer to Wiesau; camp life including labor harvesting potatoes in the field; transfer to Langenbielau; labor in an aircraft parts factory; liberation by the Red Army, May 1945.
