Deportation of her father to Sachsenhausen on Kristallnacht; return of her father on Christmas, (December) 1938; emigration to China, February 1939; arrival to Shanghai, 13 March 1939; life in the French quarter with help form a Chinese man; move to the ghetto; previous acquaintance with the commander of the ghetto, and receives permission to study and work; air-raids; arrival of the US Army and US Army occupation. Emigration to the United States, 1947; aliya to Israel, 1951.
