Testimony of Guta (Danziger) Steinfeld, born in Warsaw, Poland, 1925, regarding her experiences in the Warsaw Ghetto, Majdanek, Skarzysko-Kamienna and Leipzig From a traditional family; lives on Leszno Street. Direct hit on her home the first day of the war; deportation to the Warsaw Ghetto; lives in her uncle's apartment, 1940; work in a Schultz shop sewing uniforms; family receives "Essential Workers" papers; "Aktions" and deportations of family members; rumors concerning annihilation; liquidation of the ghetto and hiding with other people in a bunker; demolition of the bunker by the Germans; murder of her father and the men; deportation to Majdanek with her mother, May 1943; abuse and selections in the camp; transfer to Skarzysko-Kamienna; approach of the front; transfer to Leipzig; camp life including labor manufacturing weapons; collapses during a death march; liberation by the Red Army near Freiburg. Hospitalization for approximately two months; move to Wroclaw with her mother; move to Germany; life in the Bad-Reichenhall DP camp; aliya to Israel, 1948.
