Annexation to Hungary, April 1941; hanging of Jews in the square; deportation of mature men to labor battalions in Ukraine; deportation of youth to labor cleaning streets; odd jobs and difficulties earning a livelihood; hears rumors about the events in Poland; German occupation, March 1944; arrest of his grandfather; concentration of the Jews in the Backa Topola area; separation between men and women; deportation on a train with men only to Baya; life in Baya including selection; deportation to Auschwitz; camp life; receives shoes and clothes; transfer to Gross Rosen; transfer to Wuestegirsdorf; camp life; labor building infrastructures for the TODT organization until January 1945; hanging of inmates due to their escape attempt; transfer in a death march; shooting of the unsuccessful escape inmates; transfer to Flossenbuerg; camp life as non-Jewish inmates; transfer in a march under the supervision of political inmates; liberation by the US Army near Stamsried.
