Life in Khania and Kavala before the war; move to Athens, 1941.
Life under Italian occupation; famine, winter 1941-1942; attitude of the Italian soldiers; German occupation, September 1943; registration of Jews; obligation to report to the synagogue once a week; call from Rabbi Barzilai and the Communist groups to the Jews of Athens to leave the city; yellow badge; collective punishments; confiscation of property; gathering up the Jews of the city and their imprisonment in the Haidari prison, March 1944; help from the Greek policemen; deportation to Auschwitz; camp life including labor at construction and digging; abuse; transfer to labor in the Canada Kommando after three months; transfer to Budy after nine months; evacuation of the camp; death march; murder of the weak en route; transfer from camp to camp; air-raids; liberation by the US Army, May 1945.
Hospitalization; move to DP camps in Germany and Italy; return to Athens; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
