Testimony of Biniamyn Ginzberg, born in Vilna, Poland, 1919, regarding his experiences in Amsterdam, Antwerp, in hiding in Amsterdam and other places From a traditional family; his sister’s aliya to Eretz Israel, 1935; move to Switzerland to continue his studies, 1938; joins an aliya training facility in Italy, February 1939; disbanding of the facility as a result of the alliance between Italy and Germany; move to the Netherlands to an aliya facility near Amsterdam. German occupation, May 1940; help from the Dutch underground in finding hiding places; obtains an identity card from a Dutch citizen; plan to escape to Spain with a group; detention in Antwerp; work constructing fortifications on the banks of the canal for pay; work for Todt in southern France; transfer back and forth between France and the Netherlands, 1943-1944; hidden by the Lubert family in the Netherlands, August 1944-May 1945. Aliya to Eretz Israel as part of Aliya Bet on the ship, "Tel Chai", 1946.
