Persecution of Jews, from 1940; anti-Jewish legislation; deportation of men to labor battalions; curfew in the evenings; yellow badge, from 1942; concentration with the Jews in a Jewish neighborhood; deportation by Bulgarian policemen to Karnobat, summer 1943; her family entrusts their property to a neighbor for safekeeping; life in Karnobat in the home of family members; escape to Dupnitsa; life in Dupnitsa including fear of Bulgarian fascists; ban against walking on the main street; air-raids on Dupnitsa by the US Army; liberation by the Red Army, September 1944. Return to Sofia; aliya to Israel, 1948.
