Deportation to Atachi, October 1941; life in Mogilev-Podolski in a school; deportation to the Dzhurin Ghetto; Dzhurin Ghetto life; finds a hiding place in an attic with his father during "Aktions"; deportation of his father to forced labor; escape; transfer by a German officer of monetary help from Jews in Bucharest; religious life; help to needy people; liberation by the Red Army, April 1944. Move to Briceni; life in Briceni including receiving treatment in a hospital; return to Radauti, autumn 1945; joins the Hanoar Hatzioni movement; aliya training in Oradea; illegal aliya attempt to Eretz Israel; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
