Deportation with his parents to a military camp in another city, May 1942; release by his brother with the help of an “Essential for the Economy” certificate; outbreak of the Slovak National Uprising, autumn 1944; labor as a valet for a German soldier; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life; transfer to Ravensbrueck; camp life; labor harvesting reeds at the shore of a lake; labor unloading railroad trains; labor in a shoemaking workshop; destruction of shoes after a search for valuables; life in the children's block; transfer to Sachsenhausen, February 1945; camp life; evacuation of the camp; finds a hiding place in a sick room with his father and another child; liberation by the Red Army. Return to his family's home; aliya of his father to Eretz Israel, 1945; witness' aliya to Eretz Israel with his brother, 1947.
