Murder of her grandfather and aunt due to economic or antisemitic reasons; restrictions on the Jews; Romanian citizenship law, 1938; Soviet occupation, June 1940; nationalization of property; move to the Yiddish school; German occupation, June 1941; restrictions on movement; deportation to the Cernauti Ghetto; life using the protective passport of the Mayor Popovici Traian, later recognized as Righteous Among the Nations; contact via a German soldier with family members who were deported to Transnistria; money is sent to the family members; retreat of the German Army; liberation by the Red Army, March 1944.
Attends a Jewish school; move via Botosani to Bucharest, 1945; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
