Anti-Jewish restrictions including the yellow badge; deportation to Atachi with his family; transfer over the Dniester River; transfer to Mogilev-Podolski; military camp life; escape to a destroyed house; escape and move to the Murafa Ghetto in exchange for payment of a bribe; Murafa Ghetto life; exchange of belongings for food; activities of the Jewish police; activities of the Judenrat including existence of a hospital, canteen, soup kitchen, kosher services and a Chevra Kadisha (burial society); observance of religious life and keeping kosher; liberation. Return to Suceava; aliya to Israel on the "Transylvania" ship, 1951.
