Re-annexation to Hungary, 1939; appointment of a non-Jewish trustee for the family business; restrictions on movement; displays of antisemitism; transfer of young men to labor battalions; deportation of Jews without Hungarian citizenship; meets Jewish refugees from Poland; escape to Budapest; life in Budapest; escape to a dormitory of the Jewish community, 1942; joins the Dror-Habonim movement; receives information regarding the murder of Jewish refugees from Poland; German occupation, March 1944; yellow badge; receives a letter from a non-Jewish acquaintance about the deportation of the witness' family to the Uzhorod Ghetto; witness' transfer to forced labor; joins the Kasztner train on behalf of the Dror-Habonim movement; transport by train to Bergen-Belsen, June 1944; camp life without labor; release along with the inmates from the Kasztner train, December 1944. Move to Switzerland; life in Switzerland including receiving help from the JDC organization; aliya to Eretz Israel, September 1945.
