Life in Chisinau before the war; from a traditional family.
Soviet occupation, 1940; outbreak of the war, 1941; hunt for Jews and finding a hiding place in a storage depot near the family home; deportation to the Chisinau Ghetto; ghetto life; escape out of the ghetto with her family by paying a bribe; obtains forged documents; escape to Bucharest; life in Bucharest in the home of relatives; end of the war, August 1944.
