German occupation, April 1941; restrictions on the Jews including confiscation of property; concentration of Jewish men in the square, July 1942; physical and mental abuse of the men; deportation of his brother to forced labor ; yellow badge; deportation to the Thessaloniki Ghetto, 1943; ghetto life including deportation to Auschwitz; camp life including language difficulties; murder of his mother and sisters; labor digging; beatings; mutual help among the inmates; transfer to Buna-Monowitz; camp life including labor in a chemical factory; black market; air-raids on the camp; transfer to Gleiwitz, late 1944; life in Gleiwitz including physical abuse; transfer to Dora Mittelbau; camp life including labor in an ammunitions factory; air raids on the camp; liquidation of the camp; transfer to Czechoslovakia; journey by train including throwing of food into the train by Czechoslovakian farmers; death march to Bergen-Belsen; camp life; liberation by the British Army. Return to Thessaloniki; life in an aliya training facility in Thessaloniki; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1945.
