Witness is entrusted to a secular non-Jewish family in Bussum, summer 1942; life with his foster parents; hidden in the attic in a double wooden wall during danger; hidden by another family several times; life towards the end of the war; many air-raids; hunger; liberation. Reunion with his father and his younger sister; return to Eindhoven; aliya to Israel, 1956.
