Draft of his father to forced labor, 1940; deportation to Dorohoi with his grandparents; transfer by train to Mogilev-Podolski, late 1941; wanderings until Vendichany; work with his mother in a sugar factory; move to a village and [work] selling bread; return to Romania by train, December 1943.
Return to their destroyed home; work in metal working with help from his mother; activities in the Dror-Habonim movement; aliya training in Bucharest, 1949; aliya to Israel with his family, 1950.
