German occupation, March 1944; gathering of the well-to-do heads of the community; abuse of his father; establishment of the Mezokovesd Ghetto, April 1944; joins the Levente organization; meets a captain in the Hungarian Army named Horvath Kelman (later recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations); transfer to a camp by the captain despite his young age; transfer by death march in the direction of the Austrian border; transfer to Deszkametszopuszta, autumn 1944; transfer to Mauthausen by forced march via the Tyrol mountains; transfer to Gunskirchen; liberation by the US Army, 04 May 1945.
