Assimilated family; membership in the Czech youth movement, Sokol; displays of antisemitism during a visit in Vienna, 1937; move to the Maccabi Hatzair movement; his parent's plan to have the witness make aliya to Eretz Israel with Youth Aliyah.
German occupation, March 1939; witness' move to London in the framework of the Kindertransport, with help from relatives in Great Britain and the mediation of Nicholas Winton, June 1939; life and studies in a dormitory, 1939-1943; lack of knowledge regarding his family; Czech office for the care of refugees.
Conference in Czechoslovakia, and reunion with relatives who survived, 1946; joins the Habonim movement in England; aliya to Israel, 1954.
