Testimony of Jakob Glazer, born in Belz, Poland in 1938, regarding his experiences in Belz, Stettin and Kazakhstan Life before the war; his parent's work; his father's illness, hospitalization and death; German occupation; burning of the synagogue; escape to Stettin; move to Kazakhstan by a person who later was recognized as a Righteous Among the Nations; separation from his mother; deportation of his mother and siblings to Auschwitz; murder of his siblings in Auschwitz, and his mother's survival; life in Kazakhstan including disease and hunger; end of the war; Return to Poland; reunion with his mother in Stettin; he learns in a heder and attends a public school; displays of antisemitism; foot injury; hospitalization in a hospital; incident regarding the smuggle of the Belzer Rebbe to Eretz Israel; Rebbe's stay in the Krakow Ghetto and the Bochnia Ghetto; move of the Rebbe to Hungary and from there to Israel; Zionist youth movements in Belz during the period of the Belzer Rebbe; help to other people by the witness' mother; aliya to Israel, 1950; attends school in Kfar Chabad; his Bar Mitzvah celebration; marriage, 1961; he starts a family.
