German occupation; move to France for approximately five months; draft of his father into the Free Polish Army; return of his father to his family; return of the family to Brussels; anti-Jewish decrees, 1942; life in hiding in a monastery; deportation of his parents to Auschwitz, 1943; his life in a monastery, from 1942; liberation by the US Army and the British Army, 1944; expropriation of the monastery's buildings by the liberating armies; transfer to a monastery in Gent; transfer to the parents of one on the monks from the monastery; life with the monk's parents for several months.
Witness' return to his uncle; placed in a Jewish orphanage in Brussels; return of his mother from the war, and reunion; aliya to Israel with his mother, 1949.
