Testimony of Zvi Likvornik, born in Cernauti, Romania, 1934, regarding his experiences in the Cernauti Ghetto, Marculesti, Yampol, Potasanya and the Bershad Ghetto Life before the war; the Jewish community. Soviet occupation, 1940; re-occupation by the Romanian Army, 1941; deportation to the Cernauti Ghetto for three weeks; deportation to Transnistria; transfer as far as Marculesti by train; transfer to Yampol on foot; transfer to Potasanya on foot; deaths of many deportees en route; transfer to the Bershad Ghetto; death of his father; ghetto life including gathering food for his mother and brother; liberation by the Red Army, 1944. Search for relatives; return to Cernauti; move to Radauti; move to Iasi; joins Hashomer Hatzair; aliya attempt to Eretz Israel; detention in Cyprus, late 1947; aliya to Israel, 1948.
