German occupation; escape with the family to the Christian quarter; antisemites break into the apartment; move by a non-Jewish acquaintance to a catholic priests house in the village Almirós; changes his name to Adam; the priest is informed on; move to the Maria Theresa monastery in the Thessaly district; life in the monastery including work in the garden and maintenance; forgets his family and Jewish identity; end of the war. Return to the priests house; meets with Jewish organizations at the priests initiative; refusal to separate from the priest; move to a Jewish orphanage in Athens; aliya to Eretz Israel, August 1945; arrest and deportation to Atlit; adoption; life with Youth Aliya.
