Re-annexation to Hungary; deportation of his father and brother to a labor battalion; deportation to Stanislawow guarded by Ukrainian policemen; life in Stanislawow in a synagogue; help from the Jewish community; transfer to a flour factory with a group of deportees; life in the flour factory; deportation by truck and murder of his mother and siblings by Germans; escape to the family home with his cousin; life in the family home with his father who had returned from the labor battalion; deportation to the Staw Ghetto, 1944; ghetto life; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life; transfer to Allach; camp life including loading trucks with sand and railroad tracks; flogging of his father and his father's death; transfer to Dachau; liberation by the US Army. Move to the Bamberg DP camp; move to Budapest; life in Budapest including searching for his oldest brother; preparations for aliya with help from emissaries from Eretz Israel; life in Marseilles; aliya to Israel on the ship, "Providence", 21 May 1948.
