German occupation, 19 March 1944; deportation to the Debrecen Ghetto, April 1944; ghetto life including work as a welder in SS headquarters; deportation to a roof tile factory; life in the roof tile factory including removing the dead after a US Army Air Forces air-raid; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau, June 1944; camp life including murder of his parents; transfer to Muehldorf, September 1944; life in a subterranean camp; labor in a military hospital; air-raids on the camp; liberation by the US Army. Move to Feldafing; DP camp life including typhus and hospitalization; reunion with his brother; joins Hanoar Hatzioni; aliya training in Budapest; move to Fuerth on a mission from Hanoar Hatzioni; life in Fuerth including caring for children from monasteries in Poland; move to the Netherlands; move to France; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947; participation in combat in Jerusalem during the War of Independence.
