Life in Lekyr before the war; from a well-to-do, religious family; his father is one of the leaders of the Jewish community; attends an elementary and a Jewish high school.
German occupation, March 1944; preparations for escape; family remains in Lekyr due to his father's decision; deportation to the Leva Ghetto; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life; transfer to Allach with his father; transfer to Muehldorf as part of a group; camp life including labor in an aircraft factory; unloading trains; camouflaging excavations and castings; receives food scraps from a Todt man; labor peeling potatoes; cleans German Army barracks and receives food scraps; transfer with a group to labor clearing away rubble, spring 1945; receives improved food; evacuation of the camp, late April 1945; transfer by train; liberation by the US Army.
Reunion with his father; move to Bratislava; aliya to Israel as part of Gachal (Haganah Overseas Recruits), 1949.
