Deportation of her father to a camp; her father's return, 1942; deportation of women over the age of 15 to forced labor; termination of studies; burning of Jewish property; plucking beards of Jewish men; Aryanization of businesses; deportation to the Debrecen Ghetto, April 1944; ghetto life; transfer to a brick factory in Vaserli, late May 1944; life in Vaserli including suicides of Jews; deportation to Auschwitz; transfer back due to a mistake; transfer to Vienna; life in a school in Vienna; camp life including labor in a factory; receives clothing and food from Italian and French POWs; smuggling in food by local Austrians; wounded when a hand grenade explodes; Red Army approach; death march without food or water; escape with her parents and rescue from being shot. Move to Ybbs; aliya to Israel, 1948.
