Outbreak of the war, 1939; German occupation; murder of Jews; murder of the intelligentsia; deportation of men to camps; deportation of young men to forced labor; life in the Bedzin Ghetto including educational activities; establishment of workshops to supply the needs of the German Army; learns to be an electrician; work as an electrician; liquidation of the ghetto, 1943; deportation to Blechhammer; camp life including laying railroad tracks; work as an electrician in a power station; physical abuse at the roll calls; receives help and support from a group of friends; liquidation of the camp; transfer of equipment by Jews, March 1945; transfer to Gross-Rosen; transfer to Buchenwald; camp life including Allied air-raids on Buchenwald; inactivity; transfer to Altenburg; life in Altenburg including labor in a weapons factory; death march to Waldenburg; liberation by the US Army. Help from the JDC; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1946.
