Escape to Budapest, 1942; life in Budapest including studies and work; anti-Jewish restrictions; German occupation; camp life in Hotoan including distribution into groups; camp life in Bistrita including wearing a yellow badge; transfer to Budapest; life in Ujpest including labor repairing a bridge; unsuccessful escape attempt and then detention; transfer to Koszeg; camp life near a brick factory; labor digging anti-tank trenches; selection by SS soldiers; murder of weak inmates in a barracks with the help of a gas balloon; transfer to Burgenland; life in Burgenland including labor in fields; death march to Mauthausen; life in a hospital in Celle; transfer to Bergen-Belsen. Life in Bergen-Belsen in an aliya training "kibbutz"; return to Salonta with help from the JDC organization; move to Budapest; aliya to Israel, 1961.
