Life before the war; traditional Zionist family; witness attends a Hebrew school; activities in the Hashomer Hatzair movement.
Soviet occupation; German occupation, summer 1941; deportation to the Kaunas Ghetto; Kaunas Ghetto life including work as a messenger; work in renovations and in the toy department of a factory; "Aktion" against children and finds a hiding place, spring 1944; life in hiding in a bunker; decision by his mother to leave the bunker; transfer to Landsberg; life in Landsberg with a group of children in a fenced area; transfer to Dachau; life in Dachau; transfer to Auschwitz-Birkenau with a group of children; travel including being prevented by his father from jumping; camp life including labor moving clothing in a cart from the crematorium to a storeroom; death march, 18 March 1945; transfer by train and air-raids on the train; injury and the disappearance of his brother.
