Outbreak of the war; re-annexation to Hungary; anti-Jewish restrictions; expulsion from the French high school; attends a Jewish school; transfer of men to forced labor, 1943; deportation to the Targu Mures Ghetto in a brick factory, May 1944; Targu Mures Ghetto life including deportation to Auschwitz; camp life including the murder of her mother and younger siblings; life in the children's barracks; labor in cleaning; transfer to Teplitz Schoenau; camp life including labor in bomb factories; sleeps in beds and receives blankets, clothing and food; receives food daily from a French POW; receives help from a labor supervisor of the German Army; transfer to Theresienstadt; liberation by the US Army and the Red Army. Move to Gastein; life in Gastein including marriage; receives help from the JDC organization; aliya to Israel, 1948.
