Air-raids on Piotrkow and Jews escape; deportation to the Piotrkow Ghetto; Piotrkow Ghetto life including the ban on the employment of Jews by Poles; deportation of his father to forced labor laying railroad tracks; flogging of his mother due to the smuggle of food; transfer of his mother to the prison; death of his mother; deportation of Jews from the area to the ghetto; life with much overcrowding; transfer to labor in a glass factory; liquidation of the ghetto; deportation of his father and brother to Treblinka; labor in a sawmill producing barracks for the German Army; approach of the Red Army; transfer to Czestochowa; camp life including labor in a weapons factory; transfer to Buchenwald; air-raids on Buchenwald by the Allied forces; death march; liberation by the US Army. Move to a children's home in France; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1945.
