German occupation, 1941; deportation to a forest and shooting of the Jews by Germans; finds a hiding place in a cellar and in an attic; rescue with the help of a German officer; injuries to Jewish children at the site; escape to Zhmerinka; transfer to Brailov by the Germans; life in Brailov including the yellow badge; air-raid on Brailov; joins the partisans, 1944; meets her father; liberation.
