Outbreak of the war, September 1939; move to his grandfather in Czestochowa; deportation to the Czestochowa Ghetto; ghetto life including labor in an ammunitions factory; transfer to the small ghetto; labor in the HASAG factory for recycling ammunition, late 1940; deportation to Buchenwald, late 1941; transfer to Ravensbrueck; camp life including labor in the mechanics commando in the Heinkel factory; transfer to Sachsenhausen; camp life including a visit of the Swedish Red Cross; distribution of packages; escape to Mecklenburg.
