Life under Hungarian rule, 1939; draft of his father to labor battalions; detention and deportation to forced labor on a farm in Bekecs, 1943; German occupation, 1944; deportation to the Iza Ghetto; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau; camp life including labor in the Canada barracks; transfer to Monowitz; camp life including labor in a factory in Buna; approach of the front; transfer to Gleiwitz; liberation by the British Army in Neustadt.
Return to Velatin; unsuccessful aliya attempt to Eretz Israel via Italy with the Bericha organization, 1946; detention in Cyprus; aliya to Israel, 1949.
