Unsuccessful attempt to escape to France, May 1940; deportation of her father to a labor camp; finds a hiding place in an Antwerp attic, August 1942; life in hiding until late 1944. Return to the family home in Antwerp; move to Brussels; move to La Hulpe; joins Hashomer Hatzair; high school; aliya to Israel, 1949; starts a family.
