Outbreak of the war; draft of her father to forced labor logging trees, 1940; restrictions on Jews including selling merchandise; German occupation, Pesach 1944; deportation of the Jewish men including her father to a labor camp; yellow badge; deportation to the Hajdunanas Ghetto; ghetto life including first aid courses; concentration of the Jews in the railroad station; deportation from the Hajdunanas Ghetto to a brick factory in Debrecen, Shavuot, 28 May, 1944; daily deportations of Jews from the Debrecen brick factory; her brother's Bar Mitzvah ceremony; her brother's death; deportation by train and sabotage of the railroad tracks by partisans; transfer to Strasshof; transfer to Wien; camp life; draft of children over the age of 10 to clear away rubble and repair houses; air-raids and ban on going down into a bomb shelter; scarlet fever and appendectomy ; liberation. Help from the JDC and UNRRA; marriage; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
