Re-annexation to Hungary, 1939; restrictions on Jews including annulment of the license for her family's business; ban to work her family's land; her father is drafted into labor battalions, 1941; arrival of refugees from Poland, 1942; German occupation, March 1944; capture of Jews and ransom demands for them; unsuccessful attempt of her father to find non-Jews who would hide his children; deportation to the Berehovo Ghetto after Pesach, mid-April 1944; ghetto life in a brick factory including confiscation of valuables; smuggling food into the ghetto by a non-Jewish female friend; deportation to Auschwitz; camp life; transfer to Gelsenkirchen; camp life including labor clearing away rubble; transfer of the sick inmates to Auschwitz; transfer to Essen, September 1944; camp life including labor in a Krupp weapons factory and flogging; receives food from French POWs; transfer to Bergen-Belsen, February 1945; camp life, liberation by the British Army, April 1945.
